The Total Solar Eclipse, April 8, 2024, crossed North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, Canada and Indianapolis, Indiana, where totality was viewable from 3:06:11 until 3:09:52 p.m. ( 15:06:11 – 15:09:52  )

_umbra : the fully shaded inner region of a shadow cast by an opaque object, especially the area on the earth or moon experiencing the total phase of an eclipse

_occultation : complete obscuration of the light of an astronomical body, most commonly a star, by another astronomical body, such as a planet or a satellite
